Same thing happened to us last week. It’s absolutely infuriating to be locked out of essential tools mid-project with zero warning. At this point, it feels like they are intentionally sabotaging productivity just to save a few dollars on licensing fees. Management keeps throwing around corporate jargon about 'optimizing resources,' but anyone on the ground can see it's a frantic scramble to make the quarterly numbers look better at the expense of our ability to actually do our jobs. It’s becoming impossible to hit deadlines when the infrastructure is constantly shifting under our feet.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a systemic issue across the company. Every time the quarter-end approaches, these 'accidental' restrictions start popping up. It’s definitely cost-cutting disguised as a technical glitch. I’ve stopped even bothering to put in support tickets because the response is always the same scripted nonsense about license audits. It’s a complete lack of transparency that shows exactly how much they value our time. If they want us to be efficient, they need to stop pulling the tools out of our hands every few months.
