Hey everyone, seeing a lot of chatter in the energy sector and wondering if anyone at Marathon Oil has any inside scoop. Haven't seen any official announcements or anything concrete, but there's definitely a general feeling of uncertainty across the industry. Been hearing whispers from friends at other companies about restructuring and headcount reviews. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like things are a bit Tense at MRO right now? Curious about hiring freezes, project slowdowns, or just general anxiety. Trying to get a pulse on the situation without sounding like I'm fishing for rumors. Anyone willing to share their observations, even if it's just anecdotal? Appreciate any info, thanks.

Things feel pretty steady from where I'm standing. There's always talk in this industry, and sure, market fluctuations keep everyone on their toes. But I haven't personally seen any major shifts like hiring freezes or project cancellations. Focus seems to be on efficiency and executing our current plans. The overall mood isn't one of panic, more like a 'business as usual' with an eye on the broader economic picture.

It's understandable why there's concern given the current market. I've heard some of the same whispers about industry-wide reviews. From my perspective, though, MRO is still actively hiring for key roles and pushing forward with development projects. The vibe isn't necessarily 'tense' but more pragmatic. Everyone's aware of the external pressures, but there hasn't been a widespread feeling of impending doom or significant cutbacks impacting daily operations.
