Marathon Oil: Anyone else seeing hiring freezes or project slowdowns?

Hey everyone, been working at Marathon Oil for a few years now and lately things have felt a bit... stagnant. Haven't heard any official layoff news, but there's a definite quietness on the hiring front. A few roles I know of that were open a few months ago are still listed, and some new projects seem to be on the back burner. Feels like management might be playing it safe, which I get given the market, but it's making me a little antsy about job security. Anyone else in the same boat or have insights into what's going on behind the scenes? Trying to get a sense of the general vibe across different departments.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. Been here about the same amount of time and the atmosphere has shifted. There's a noticeable hush where there used to be more buzz. It's not just the hiring freeze; even internal transfers seem to be on hold. While I understand the need for caution in the current economic climate, it's tough not to feel a bit uneasy about the long-term prospects. Hoping it's just a temporary holding pattern and things pick up soon. It's good to know I'm not the only one noticing this trend, though.
