Marathon Oil: Morale taking a hit lately?

Hey everyone, been at MRO for a few years now, and lately the vibe just feels...off. Lots of whispers in the break rooms, people looking over their shoulders. I know there haven't been official announcements, but has anyone else picked up on a general sense of unease or decreased morale? Feels like more people are polishing their resumes than usual. Just trying to gauge if it's just me or if there's something more widespread happening under the surface. Any insights or similar feelings would be appreciated. Trying not to spiral here but the uncertainty is getting to me.

Yeah, I've noticed it too. It's not just you. There's definitely a different atmosphere around lately. Hard to pinpoint exactly what's causing it, but that feeling of uncertainty is definitely palpable. Lots of quiet conversations that stop when you walk by. Hoping it's just a temporary lull, but it's hard not to feel the tension.

Interesting you bring this up. I've been feeling it as well, though I've been trying to rationalize it as just the usual ups and downs of the industry. But the resume polishing comment rings true; I've seen more LinkedIn profile updates than I can count in the last few months. It's unsettling when the buzz doesn't match the official narrative.
