Marathon Oil: What's the latest on hiring and team growth?

Just wanted to start a thread to get a pulse on what's happening with hiring and team expansion across Marathon Oil. I've been seeing a few open roles that have been posted for a while without much movement, and some of the teams I interact with seem to have put a pause on bringing in new people. It's not a full-on freeze, but the pace has definitely slowed down compared to last year. Anyone in different divisions or departments seeing the same thing? Are there any departments actively hiring or expanding? It's hard to tell what's going on without any official communication. Trying to get a sense of the overall hiring landscape within the company right now. Any insights would be appreciated, especially if you've been through an interview process recently or know someone who has.

I've noticed a similar trend. Last year felt like there was a big push to expand, with roles opening up frequently and interviews moving quickly. Lately, it definitely seems like things have tightened up. Some positions are lingering on the careers page, and I've heard from a few people that internal hiring requests are facing more scrutiny. It's not a complete halt, but the days of rapid team growth appear to be on pause for now. Curious to see if this is company-wide or specific to certain areas.

From my perspective in the [Redacted Department], we're still seeing some movement, although it's definitely more selective than it was a year ago. We've had a couple of key hires come through recently, but the process was notably longer and involved more levels of approval. It feels like the company is being more strategic about where they're investing in headcount. They're prioritizing roles that directly impact core operations or strategic growth initiatives. So, while some areas might be slowing down, others could still be active.
