Marathon Petroleum - Anyone else feeling the tension?

Hey all, been at MPC for a few years now, and lately, there's been a definite shift in the air. Heard some whispers about restructuring, but nothing concrete. Management's been pretty tight-lipped, which is making everyone a bit anxious. Has anyone else noticed increased scrutiny on projects or a slowdown in hiring? It's hard to get a straight answer, and the lack of communication is really starting to wear on people. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a department that's feeling it more. Trying to stay positive, but it's tough when you don't know what's coming. Anyone have any insights or similar experiences they can share? Trying to prep for the worst but hope for the best, you know?

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. The vibe has changed quite a bit over the past year. It feels like there's more pressure to hit numbers and less room for error. I've noticed a lot more meetings focused on efficiency and cost-cutting, which is understandable, but it does create a sense of uncertainty. Hoping whatever changes are coming are for the best in the long run.

I can relate to the communication issue. It's tough when you're in the dark about what's happening, especially when it seems to impact day-to-day work. Been seeing some odd things with resource allocation on my end. Fingers crossed we get some clarity soon. Maybe it's just the industry cycle, but it feels a bit more intense than usual.
