Has anyone else at MPC noticed that hiring seems to have slowed to a crawl, or maybe even stopped entirely? I haven't seen any new roles posted in a while, and the few I've seen have been quietly taken down. My manager is being super vague when I ask about team expansion plans, just saying things are 'under review.' It feels like more than just a typical seasonal slowdown. With the market being what it is, I get that companies get cautious, but the silence around it is what's really unsettling. Are they bracing for something, or is this just a strategic pause? Curious if anyone in other departments or regions are seeing the same thing. Trying to figure out if I should start polishing up the resume or just wait it out. This uncertainty is a killer.

Yeah, I've been feeling the same thing. It's definitely not just you. It feels like the spigot has been turned off for new hires across the board. My department was supposed to bring on a couple of people this quarter, and that's gone completely quiet. The 'under review' line is getting old, and honestly, the lack of clear communication is more stressful than if they'd just come out and said they're freezing. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind closed doors. Hopefully, it's just a temporary hold and not a sign of bigger issues down the line. Just wish they'd tell us something concrete.
