Anyone else notice a hiring freeze at Marriott?

Been trying to apply internally for a few roles over the past month, and it feels like everything is just… sitting there. No movement, no updates. Saw a few external postings disappear too, which is weird. Usually, there's at least some buzz or a recruiter reaching out, even if it's a no. Just crickets. My manager mentioned some budget reviews are happening, but that's pretty standard, right? Wondering if anyone else in the operations or corporate side is seeing the same thing? Is this a precursor to something bigger, or just a seasonal slowdown? My team's workload is definitely picking up, so it's getting a bit stressful trying to cover gaps. Curious to hear if others are experiencing this silence across different departments.

I've been seeing a similar pattern. Applied for a couple of positions myself, and it's been radio silence for weeks. It's unusual, given how responsive they typically are. My team hasn't heard anything concrete about a hiring freeze, but the lack of activity is definitely noticeable. Hoping it's just a temporary lull and not something more significant.

Yeah, I've noticed it too, especially in the corporate side. Lots of roles that were open a few weeks ago are now gone, and new postings seem few and far between. My department head hinted at some belt-tightening measures, so it wouldn't surprise me if there's a pause on bringing in new people right now. It's definitely a change from the usual pace.
