I can't speak for every department, but I've seen a few postings pop up for roles in [another department, e.g., Operations] recently, so it seems like hiring isn't completely frozen. It's probably wise to be prepared for tough questions about how you can directly contribute to the bottom line or improve efficiency. General market conditions might be making them a bit more cautious, but a strong candidate always stands out. Good luck with your interview!
My friend just interviewed for a [different department, e.g., Marketing] role at Marriott and said the process felt pretty standard. They were definitely looking for people who could demonstrate a clear ROI for their initiatives. While there might be some internal restructuring happening, it doesn't seem to have halted all hiring. Focus on showcasing your skills and how you can add value, and you should be in a good position.
