Is the Philly cuts just the start of something bigger?

Saw the WARN notice for the 203 roles in Philly. Is this just a localized operational shift or are we looking at a wider trend across the corporate properties? I’ve been hearing whispers about 'optimization' in regional management, but it’s always hard to tell if that’s just standard corporate speak or if we should be updating our resumes. If anyone from the PA side is reading this, did you get any heads-up before the notice went public, or was it a total blindside? I’m feeling pretty anxious about my standing in the regional office. The lack of transparency is honestly the worst part of this company culture. Hard to focus on hitting quarterly KPIs when you’re wondering if you’ll be on the next list.

Corporate has been using the 'optimization' buzzword for months now, and usually, it's just a precursor to widespread restructuring. If they are pulling the plug on over 200 roles in one go, you can bet that regional management is next on the chopping block. Don't wait for an official email to clarify things—start dusting off that resume today. It’s better to be over-prepared and ready to jump ship than to be caught off guard when the next round of announcements hits your office.

I was actually in the Philly office when the news broke, and it was a total blindside for almost everyone. There was zero internal communication before the notice went public, which really tells you everything you need to know about how leadership views us. If you’re feeling anxious, trust your gut. The atmosphere here has shifted completely, and it feels like this is just the beginning of a much larger wave of cuts coming to other corporate hubs. Keep your eyes open and your options wide.
