Marriott - Anyone else feeling the pinch?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if I'm alone in this. Been with Marriott for a few years now, pretty stable role. Lately, though, things just feel…different. Budgets seem tighter, projects are getting scaled back, and there's a general sense of unease around the office. Haven't heard any official word about layoffs, but the vibe is definitely there. My manager is being pretty cagey when I ask about future planning. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Feeling like things are being restructured or consolidated behind the scenes? Curious to hear if others are seeing similar trends, especially in corporate roles, but open to hearing from property level too. Trying not to panic, but it's hard not to when you see the writing on the wall.

Yeah, I've noticed it too. It's not just you. There's definitely a shift happening. Lots of small projects I was working on have been put on hold indefinitely, and resources feel stretched thin across the board. It's hard to get a clear picture of what's coming next, and the lack of transparency is making people nervous. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment period, but it's hard not to worry when the atmosphere feels this way.

I'm with you. The budget cuts are definitely real. It feels like every expense is being scrutinized now, and there's a lot more pressure to justify every single initiative. My team is having to do more with less, and it's starting to impact morale. I've heard whispers about some 'operational efficiencies' being rolled out, which usually translates to belt-tightening for everyone else. Keeping my ears open for any concrete news, but the uncertainty is palpable.
