Feeling the burnout and the uncertainty lately

Honestly, just needed to vent somewhere that isn't Slack. Is anyone else feeling like the workload has become completely unsustainable since the latest round of budget cuts? They keep talking about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining operations,' but all that really translates to is two people doing the work of four. I’m seeing a lot of tenured people just checking out or straight up quitting because the culture has become so toxic. It’s not just the fear of being part of the next 50-person layoff wave; it’s the constant pressure to maintain the same output while resources vanish into thin air. I love my team, but my manager is as stressed as the rest of us and has zero answers when we ask about long-term stability. It feels like the company is just squeezing the lemon until there's nothing left. At this point, I’m just hitting my KPIs until I can find something remote that doesn’t have such a chaotic internal structure. Does anyone know if there’s actually a roadmap for this restructuring, or are they just making it up as they go along? I’m exhausted.

I hear you loud and clear. It’s the classic corporate playbook: push the remaining staff to the absolute breaking point under the guise of efficiency until they burn out. The pressure to maintain performance levels while resources vanish is incredibly draining. It feels like leadership is completely detached from the reality on the ground, and seeing so many experienced colleagues leave really drives home how unsustainable things have become. You aren’t alone in this frustration; the shift in morale is palpable across the firm.

Hang in there. It’s incredibly demoralizing to watch talented people jump ship because management decided that headcount reduction is the only way to balance the ledger. This constant cycle of 'streamlining' has turned the office into a pressure cooker where quality of life is the first thing sacrificed. Everyone is looking over their shoulder waiting for the next round of cuts, and frankly, it’s hard to focus on the work when the environment is this toxic. Take care of yourself first because this place certainly isn't going to look out for you.
