MMC - Anyone else feeling the budget pinch?

Just wanted to see if I'm alone on this. Over the past couple of months, it feels like the budget spigot has been turned down considerably across the board at MMC. Things that used to be approved pretty easily are now facing intense scrutiny, travel budgets are tighter than ever, and even small operational expenses seem to require more justification. It's not just my team either; I've heard similar grumbles from colleagues in other divisions. It makes you wonder if this is a precursor to something bigger or just a response to market conditions. Anyone else experiencing this budget tightening and have any thoughts on what it might mean for us long-term? Feels like we're being asked to do more with less, which is always fun.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the shift too. It seems like every expense, no matter how small, is under a microscope now. Even routine office supplies are getting questioned. It's creating a bit of a bottleneck for some projects that require even minor resources. Hoping it's a temporary belt-tightening measure and not a sign of deeper issues.

I'm feeling it too, for sure. The approval process for anything beyond the absolute essentials has become a marathon. Used to be able to get a quick sign-off for training or a necessary software upgrade, but now it's a whole song and dance. Makes you wonder about the overall financial health or strategic direction when basic operational needs become such a hurdle.
