MMC - Anyone else feeling the pressure after the last earnings call?

Hey everyone, So, I've been with MMC for a couple of years now, and things have been generally stable. But after the last earnings call, I've noticed a definite shift in the vibe around the office. There's been a lot more talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining operations' in team meetings, which always makes me a bit nervous. Has anyone else picked up on this? It's not just my department either; I've heard similar whispers from colleagues in other business units. We haven't had any official announcements, and my direct manager is still acting like everything is business as usual, but the underlying tone feels... different. Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just overthinking it. Wondering if anyone has heard any specific internal comms or seen any concrete signs that might explain this shift. Trying to stay optimistic but also want to be prepared if things do head south. Yeah, I'm feeling it too. The language around 'synergies' and 'optimizing resources' has definitely ramped up. It's the usual corporate speak, but combined with the earnings report, it does make you wonder what changes are on the horizon. Hopefully, it's just a strategic recalibration and not a precursor to significant layoffs. Keeping an eye on internal communications for any concrete updates.

Totally. The atmosphere feels a bit tense. While efficiency is always a goal, the increased emphasis right after an earnings call does raise an eyebrow. I'm trying to stay focused on my own work and deliver results, but it's hard not to speculate. Let's hope for transparency from leadership soon so we can all understand the direction we're heading.
