Marvell: Questions about Q3/Q4 outlook?

I'm trying to get a read on the general sentiment regarding Marvell's outlook for the rest of the year and into next. The semiconductor industry is obviously in a weird spot right now, with demand fluctuating. While I haven't seen any official layoff announcements, there's been a noticeable slowdown in certain areas, like hiring for non-critical roles and approvals for new equipment/software. Performance metrics seem to be under a microscope, and some managers are being cagey about future project roadmaps. Is anyone seeing this across the board? Are we talking about a minor adjustment or is something more significant brewing? Any intel from finance or sales teams would be particularly helpful. Trying to plan accordingly.

Echoing your observations. The general vibe feels cautious. While the core business segments might be holding steady, the subtle shifts in hiring and budget approvals definitely point to a more conservative stance. It's hard to get a clear picture when official communications are tight-lipped, but the internal signals suggest management is bracing for potential headwinds and prioritizing efficiency. Hopefully, the upcoming earnings call provides more clarity on their strategy to navigate the current market dynamics.
