Curious if anyone at Masco has noticed a significant slowdown in hiring or if roles are being put on hold? We had a few positions open in my team that were supposed to be filled by now, but they've just gone silent. HR isn't giving a clear answer, just saying "budget reviews" and "prioritization." It feels like a soft hiring freeze, which often precedes something bigger. Not looking for official confirmation, just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide trend or isolated to certain areas. Yeah, I've definitely felt a chill in the hiring process lately. Several roles that were actively recruiting just a month or two ago seem to have stalled out completely. It's frustrating not getting concrete answers, but the talk of budget reviews and reprioritization certainly suggests a broader slowdown. Feels like a holding pattern across the board, not just in isolated pockets. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment.

Can confirm the hiring slowdown. My department was expecting to bring on a couple of new folks this quarter, and those requisitions have been put on indefinite hold. HR has been pretty cagey about it, using the same vague language you mentioned. It's making planning difficult and is definitely creating some uncertainty about future growth and team capacity. Not a great sign.
