Hey folks, been at McCormick for about 5 years now, working in the R&D side. Lately, it feels like the vibe has shifted. Less collaboration, more people keeping their heads down. Heard some whispers about budget cuts coming down the pipeline, but nothing concrete. My direct manager has been super vague when asked about future projects. Anyone else in different departments picking up on this? Is it just me, or is the whole company on edge? Feels like we're holding our breath waiting for something, and it's not the holiday bonus. Wondering if I should start polishing up the resume just in case.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. Been in Sales for a bit longer than you, and the general atmosphere has definitely soured. My team meetings feel more like status reports now, and there's a noticeable lack of spontaneous brainstorming sessions that used to be common. The budget cut rumors have been circulating for weeks, and honestly, the silence from leadership isn't helping. It makes it hard to stay motivated when you're unsure about what's coming next. Just trying to focus on hitting my targets and keeping my head down for now, but it's tough.

Honestly, I haven't noticed much of a difference, and I've been in Supply Chain for 7 years. Things seem pretty business as usual from my end. We're always dealing with budget considerations, and projects shift based on market demands. Maybe the R&D side is more sensitive to these kinds of fluctuations? My manager is usually pretty upfront about any impacts to our operations, and I haven't heard any of these 'whispers' you're mentioning. Could be specific to certain departments or teams rather than a company-wide shift.
