I’m seeing the same thing. The transition from focusing on quality and long-term brand equity to this aggressive, short-term quarterly ROI chase is exhausting. It feels like leadership is reacting to external market pressures by cannibalizing our internal processes. When they start cutting corners on the support teams that actually make the operation run, you know it’s not about excellence, it’s just about optics for the next earnings call. The transparency has definitely evaporated.
Honestly, it’s been a rough adjustment for a lot of us. The 'synergy' buzzwords are just a polite way of saying they’re trimming the fat until we’re practically anorexic. I’ve noticed the same disconnect between the polished slides in the town halls and the confusing, rapid-fire demands coming from the floor managers. It’s hard to feel like you’re doing your job well when the goalposts move every single week. Hopefully, things stabilize soon because morale is hitting rock bottom.
