Hey everyone, long-time lurker here. I've been with McCormick for a few years now in a corporate role, and lately, things just feel… off. Budgets seem tighter, some projects have been shelved with little explanation, and there's a general air of quiet uncertainty. I haven't heard any concrete layoff rumors, but the vibe isn't great. My direct team hasn't been touched, but I'm seeing attrition in other departments that isn't being backfilled. Anyone else in a similar boat? Are you seeing changes in your divisions that feel like a precursor to something bigger, or am I just overthinking a typical cyclical slowdown? Curious to hear what others are experiencing.

I've noticed some similar things from the outside looking in. While I'm not an employee, I've seen their stock performance dip a bit recently, and there have been some analyst reports suggesting a need for cost-cutting measures. It could just be a general market trend impacting consumer staples, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Hopefully, it's just a temporary slowdown and not indicative of deeper issues.

Interesting post. I used to work at McCormick a few years back, and while I can't speak to current conditions, I do remember periods where they'd consolidate projects or slow down hiring when economic forecasts seemed uncertain. It was usually followed by a period of strong growth, but it did create a bit of anxiety at the time. Hang in there, and hopefully, things will stabilize soon.
