Anyone else feeling the 'streamlining' vibe at McDonald's?

Been hearing a lot of talk about 'operational efficiencies' and 'realigning resources' lately. My manager is being super vague when I ask about future projects, just saying 'things are being evaluated.' It feels like there's a lot of shuffling happening behind the scenes, but no one is saying anything concrete. My team's been pulled into a few 'synergy workshops' that felt more like us trying to figure out who does what now, rather than actual work. Is anyone else's department going through this 'streamlining' process? Is it just me, or does it feel like they're trying to get leaner without anyone noticing until it's too late?

Yeah, totally getting that vibe. We had a mandatory 'all-hands' last week that was supposed to be about innovation, but it just felt like corporate buzzwords wrapped around nothing. They mentioned 'optimizing workflows' about a dozen times, which is just code for 'do more with less.' It’s unsettling when you don't know what's coming next or if your role is even going to exist in six months. Makes it hard to stay motivated when everything feels so uncertain.

This sounds familiar. Our store has been hit with the 'efficiency' train too. They cut back on some of the prep work we used to do in the mornings, saying it'll be 'handled differently.' But now, during peak hours, we're scrambling to keep up because things aren't ready. Feels like they're trying to save a few pennies on labor while making our jobs harder and potentially impacting customer experience. It's a strange balance they're attempting.
