Anyone else seeing 'voluntary' separation packages?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is hearing whispers or has been approached about 'voluntary separation' or 'early retirement' packages recently. I've heard from a couple of people in different departments that these offers are being quietly floated. It feels a bit strange, especially with the recent news about corporate office closures. My manager was super vague when I tried to ask about it, just saying it's 'part of ongoing organizational reviews.' Anyone else in a similar boat? What's the general vibe where you are? Seems like a lot of uncertainty floating around.

Yeah, I've heard some rumblings too, though nothing concrete. It's definitely a weird time to be hearing about these kinds of packages, especially with all the other changes going on. My department hasn't said anything directly, but the general atmosphere feels a bit uncertain. It makes you wonder what the long-term plan really is. Interesting that you're hearing this. My experience has been the opposite; my manager just keeps talking about growth and new initiatives. No whispers of buyouts or anything like that. Could be department-specific, or maybe the info isn't trickling down to everyone equally. It's definitely concerning when you hear about such things, though. I'd be curious to see if it becomes more widespread or if it's just isolated.
