Anyone else's project scope just shrink overnight at McDonald's?

Been working on Project X for months, seemed like a big deal. This week, suddenly half the deliverables are 'postponed indefinitely' and the team lead is super cagey about why. Sounds like a budget cut or something bigger. Anyone else seeing their work just evaporate or get put on the back burner without a clear explanation? It's weird because the official line is still 'business as usual', but the actions don't match the words. Feels like we're prepping for something, and it ain't good.
