Internal comms gone quiet at McDonald's - anyone else notice?

Used to get regular updates, even if they were just corporate speak. Now? It's like the tap has been turned off. The usual all-hands calls are either canceled or ridiculously short with minimal substance. Email traffic from senior leadership has dropped significantly. It's creating a weird vibe where nobody really knows what's going on. You see people whispering in hallways, trying to piece together rumors. Is this intentional? Are they trying to prevent panic, or is it just a sign that they don't have anything concrete to share? Trying to stay focused on my work, but it's hard when the general atmosphere is so uncertain. Makes you wonder what's being discussed behind closed doors.

Hmm, I've definitely felt a shift too. It's not just you. The lack of communication is palpable, and honestly, it breeds more anxiety than clarity. When leadership goes silent, speculation fills the void, and usually, it's not good speculation. I'm hoping it's a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger issues they're trying to sweep under the rug. Keep your ears open, maybe someone will eventually spill the beans.

Interesting observation. I hadn't necessarily thought about it in terms of internal comms specifically, but now that you mention it, the overall silence is noticeable. It's certainly an unusual departure from their usual style. Maybe they're streamlining things or perhaps focusing resources elsewhere? Whatever the reason, it does create an unsettling atmosphere. Hopefully, they'll re-establish a clearer channel soon, or at least provide some rationale for the change.
