Is the Poynette WARN notice the tip of the iceberg?

I’ve been tracking these WARN notices for a while now, and seeing another 28 people get the axe in Poynette feels like the corporate structure is just slowly bleeding out. It’s never just one location or one department, is it? It starts with these smaller, specific notices and then we hear about the 'temporary' office shutdowns to manage the fallout. I’m honestly exhausted by the constant guessing game. Does anyone have any insight on if this is part of a larger, staged RIF across the Midwest, or are they just pruning regional support roles one by one to avoid more negative press? If you were affected or know anyone who was, are they offering any actual transition support, or are we back to the standard cold email and locked-out-of-Slack routine? Just trying to figure out if I need to update my resume this weekend or if I can breathe for another month. This company used to feel like a steady ship, but it feels like we’re just waiting for the next wave to hit.

Corporate is definitely trying to keep these cuts quiet by tricking us with the 'temporary' narrative, but anyone paying attention knows how this ends. Once they start nibbling away at specific locations like Poynette, it's only a matter of time before they announce the larger restructuring plans for the entire Midwest. It's classic McDonald's strategy—spread the pain out over months so the headlines don't look as bad as the actual headcount reduction. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the regional offices start getting hit next month once they finish clearing out the field staff.

You're spot on with the exhaustion. It feels like we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and these localized notices are basically just paper cuts before the real surgery happens. I’ve seen this pattern play out before, and it’s never just about one specific office or underperforming market. They’re consolidating operations to pad the bottom line for the shareholders while the rest of us just hope we aren't the next ones on the list. If you're looking for stability, this definitely isn't the place to be searching for it right now.
