My team's been acting squirrelly - anyone else notice this?

Okay, so I'm not in corporate HQ, but I'm seeing some definite weirdness trickling down. My manager's been cagey about our Q3/Q4 projects, and there's been a hiring freeze announced internally for my division. We're not a customer-facing role, so it's not obvious why we'd be impacted by, say, slower restaurant sales. But the vibe is definitely shifting. We used to get regular updates, now it's crickets. Is this just a general market slowdown affecting everyone, or is there something specific happening at McD's that's not making headlines? Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the pieces are starting to add up. Feels like we're all just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Could be nothing, could be something. Remember that whole McRib shortage scare a while back? Or when they tweaked the Big Mac sauce? Sometimes they just tinker with things behind the scenes for reasons nobody outside their inner circle understands. Maybe they're planning a huge marketing push and want to keep it under wraps. Or perhaps they're genuinely trying to cut costs somewhere and are overreacting to minor dips. It's hard to say without more info, but the lack of communication is definitely a red flag for morale. Keep your eyes and ears open, I guess.
