Sudden 'mandatory training' sessions - Anyone else?

Has anyone else's department been hit with a wave of mandatory training sessions lately? Mine has, and it feels really forced. Like, the content isn't even directly related to our day-to-day tasks, more like general 'skill-building' that feels like it could be a prelude to something else. Usually, when there's a big push for training like this, it's tied to a new system or a major project. But this feels different. It's taking up a significant chunk of our time, and frankly, it's making me nervous. Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just something happening in certain divisions. Anyone else experiencing this and have any theories?

Yeah, I've seen that happen at my store. Sometimes it's the company rolling out a new initiative, like a push for healthier options or a focus on customer service standards. Could be they're just trying to get everyone on the same page for something new. Don't sweat it too much, probably just a standard corporate thing, even if the timing feels weird.

Mandatory training? That sounds like a classic McDonald's move. They're always changing things up, whether it's a new app feature or a revamped menu item. It's probably nothing to worry about, just the usual corporate shuffle to keep everyone aligned with their latest strategy. Hope it's not too disruptive for you.
