The silence is deafening - what's the hold up?

Seriously, what is going on? The news about the office closures and impending layoffs has been out for a bit now, but it feels like we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's been eerily quiet internally, almost *too* quiet. Makes you wonder if they're just dragging it out for some reason, or if the actual process is more complicated than we think. I'm not in HQ, but the ripple effect is palpable. Project timelines are getting fuzzy, and there's a general air of anxiety. People are holding their breath, and the lack of clear communication is making it worse. Anyone have any insights into why this might be taking so long, or what the strategy is? Just trying to make sense of the radio silence.

I'm not sure if this is about McDonald's corporate, but if it is, that sounds incredibly stressful for everyone involved. The uncertainty must be awful. When big changes are coming, even a little communication can go a long way in managing anxiety. Hopefully, they'll provide more clarity soon, though I understand that's not always how these situations unfold. It's tough when projects and daily work get disrupted by this kind of atmosphere.

This sounds like a really tense situation. The quiet before the storm, so to speak. It's understandable that people are on edge when there's so much speculation and lack of concrete information. Internal communication can make or break morale during times like these. Wishing everyone navigating this uncertainty the best, and hoping for some resolution, whatever that may be.
