Used to be, my department was always bringing in new people, especially for entry-level roles. Now, all the requisitions I've seen lately are either on hold or have been outright cancelled. HR is giving vague answers, something about 're-evaluating our talent needs.' But this feels different than just a typical hiring slowdown. The overall atmosphere has changed too – people seem more withdrawn, and there's a definite 'wait and see' vibe. I overheard some managers talking about budget reviews, but nothing concrete. Just feels like the taps have been turned off pretty abruptly. Anyone else's teams experiencing this hiring freeze?
