McKesson - Anyone else seeing reduced headcount in certain departments?

Hey everyone, I'm relatively new here but have been keeping an eye on things. Lately, I've noticed a few vacant desks in my area that don't seem to be getting refilled. Also, some projects that were supposed to staff up seem to be on hold or scaled back. It's not a full-blown layoff announcement or anything, but it feels like a general slowdown and a quiet reduction in some teams. Just wondering if anyone else is observing similar trends across different divisions or if it's just my department/location. Trying to gauge the general atmosphere and if this is a company-wide thing or more isolated. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've been with McKesson for a while now, and I'm definitely sensing a shift. It's not just your department; there have been whispers and a general feeling of uncertainty across a few teams I interact with. Some roles that were open for months aren't being filled, and there's a noticeable quiet on the hiring front compared to last year. It does seem like a strategic adjustment rather than outright cuts, but it's making people a bit nervous about future stability. Curious to see how this plays out.

Definitely seeing some similar patterns here. While there haven't been any big announcements, the hiring freeze on certain positions and the general lack of new project ramp-ups are hard to ignore. It feels like the company is taking a more conservative approach right now, focusing on efficiency and maybe reallocating resources. It's a bit unsettling not knowing the full picture, but it’s good to know others are noticing it too and not just overthinking things.
