McKesson: Anyone else's workload feel unsustainable lately?

Just wanted to vent a bit and see if I'm alone. My team at McKesson is absolutely swamped. We've lost a couple of people in the last quarter, and management hasn't backfilled those roles. Now, the remaining team members are expected to absorb the extra work without any adjustment to deadlines or expectations. It feels like a recipe for burnout. We're constantly being told to "do more with less," which is easy to say when you're not the one doing it. I'm starting to worry about performance reviews and if this unsustainable pace will be held against us. Has anyone else experienced this kind of increased workload without proper staffing? Wondering if this is a sign of things to come.

Ugh, I feel this so hard. The 'do more with less' mantra is getting old fast. It’s like they don’t realize that the ‘less’ is actually a person’s capacity and well-being. Losing people and not replacing them is a surefire way to tank morale and productivity, not enhance it. Hope things ease up for you soon, or at least that your manager recognizes the strain.

Absolutely not alone. The pressure has been immense lately, and the staffing situation is definitely a major contributor. It's frustrating when the expectation remains the same despite fewer resources. Trying to stay afloat but it’s a daily battle. I’ve started documenting everything, just in case things go sideways during reviews, which is a sad state of affairs.
