Hey all, posting anonymously here because I'm feeling a bit uneasy. Haven't seen any official announcements or heard concrete rumors about layoffs at Medtronic, but there's definitely a 'vibe' lately. Budgets seem tighter, some projects are being re-evaluated, and there's a general sense of 'efficiency drive' across the board. Is anyone else in a similar boat or have heard whispers from their divisions? Is it just me, or does it feel like the company is preparing for something? I'm picking up on the same undercurrents you're describing. While nothing concrete has been announced, the shift in how resources are being allocated and the increased scrutiny on spending definitely suggest a period of belt-tightening is either underway or on the horizon. It's hard to ignore the feeling that the company is assessing its operational costs very carefully right now.
