Medtronic - Is it just me or is there a hiring freeze in disguise?

I've been keeping an eye on open positions within Medtronic for a while now, looking to move internally, and it feels like the pipeline has completely dried up. Typically, there are always a decent number of roles popping up, but lately, it's been incredibly sparse. Even roles that previously would have been filled quickly seem to be lingering or getting reposted repeatedly. It's making me wonder if there's an informal hiring freeze or a significant slowdown in approvals for new headcount, even for internal moves. It's not like we're hearing about layoffs, but this lack of new hires or internal movement is definitely noticeable. Anyone else in hiring or management roles seeing this? Or perhaps folks who have recently applied internally and hit a brick wall? Curious if this is a broader trend or just my perception.

I've noticed something similar looking at roles across different departments. It definitely feels like approvals are taking longer or the budget just isn't there for new hires right now, even for critical areas. Makes it tough to plan career moves, especially internal ones. Hopefully, things will pick up soon.

I'm not sure if it's a full freeze, but there's a definite chill. The speed at which some positions used to be filled is gone, and the overall volume of new postings has plummeted. It's making me re-evaluate my own job search strategy within the company. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
