Medtronic: Feels like a talent drain - people leaving?

Anyone else noticing a significant uptick in colleagues polishing their resumes and actually *leaving* Medtronic recently? It's not just a trickle anymore; feels like a steady stream, especially in certain divisions I won't name. Some are moving to competitors, others seem to be jumping ship entirely from the medical device industry. Makes you wonder what's driving it. Is it compensation, lack of growth opportunities, or something else brewing under the surface? Management seems to be trying to put a positive spin on everything, but the anecdotal evidence from my team and others I've chatted with informally suggests something's up. Feels like a brain drain in the making if it continues at this pace.

I've definitely felt a shift. It's hard to ignore the empty desks and the hushed conversations about people's next moves. It used to be that Medtronic was the place to build a career, but lately, it feels like people are looking for greener pastures. I'm not sure if it's a specific issue or a broader industry trend, but it's definitely making people uneasy and questioning the long-term stability here. The buzz in the breakroom isn't what it used to be.

The 'talent drain' narrative feels pretty accurate. There's a noticeable exodus happening, and it's not just the usual suspects. Experienced folks are heading out, and it's making recruitment a challenge. I've heard everything from dissatisfaction with leadership's direction to the lure of more innovative or faster-paced environments elsewhere. Whatever the root cause, it's creating a sense of urgency for those of us still here to reassess our own paths.
