Medtronic: Headcount freeze rumors? What are you hearing?

Hearing some chatter internally about a potential hiring freeze, at least for non-critical roles. Has anyone else caught wind of this? My department usually has a few openings we're actively trying to fill, but lately, there's been a lot of back-and-forth with HR about approvals, and the timelines are stretching out significantly. It feels like a much harder 'yes' to get any new headcount approved, even for backfills. Wondering if this is company-wide or just specific departments. It's a bit concerning given the pace of innovation in our industry. Just looking to see if others are experiencing similar delays or hearing the same rumors. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but it's hard not to notice when the hiring pipeline suddenly goes quiet.
