Medtronic: How's the morale looking in your department?

Lately, the general mood across Medtronic seems a bit… off. Not sure if it's just my team or if it's a company-wide thing. People are a bit more quiet in meetings, less spontaneous collaboration. There's definitely an undercurrent of uncertainty, and I'm seeing more people looking at LinkedIn or updating their resumes when they think no one's watching. It's not outright panic, but it's definitely a shift from how things were even a few months ago. Lots of talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' in internal comms, which usually doesn't bode well. Anyone else feeling this dip in morale and seeing similar behaviors? Curious to hear how different parts of the company are holding up.

I've noticed a similar vibe in my area. The 'efficiency' talk feels like it's masking something, and the silence in meetings is deafening. It's tough when there's a sense of unease, makes it hard to stay focused on the work itself. Hopefully, whatever is causing this uncertainty gets addressed soon so people can feel more secure.

Totally relate to what you're saying. The shift is palpable. It's like the energy has been drained out, and everyone's just trying to keep their heads down. The LinkedIn updates are definitely a tell-tale sign. It's a shame because Medtronic has such potential, but this current mood isn't helping anyone innovate or feel truly engaged.
