Lately, it feels like every other all-hands or department meeting has this buzzword about 'synergy' and 'cross-functional collaboration.' It's pushed to the point where it sounds like a veiled threat or a justification for something. My team is already stretched thin, and now we're being asked to 'partner' more with teams that seem to be cutting back themselves. Is anyone else seeing this? It feels less about genuine collaboration and more like management is trying to consolidate responsibilities without acknowledging the workload implications. Pretty soon, we'll be expected to do each other's jobs. Feels like a prelude to something, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
