Anyone else noticing the vibe shift at GO lately?

Is it just me, or has the atmosphere at the General Office been incredibly tense for the last few weeks? I’ve been here a few years and usually, there’s a sense of predictability, but lately, I’m seeing more closed-door meetings and higher-ups walking around with that specific 'looking for reasons to cut costs' expression. I’ve heard whispers about a hiring freeze, but that’s nothing new for this time of year. What’s bothering me is the sudden lack of communication regarding the upcoming quarter's initiatives. Usually, we’re knee-deep in planning by now, but things seem strangely quiet. Are we looking at a restructuring effort, or is this just standard end-of-quarter pressure ramping up? I’m seeing a lot of LinkedIn activity from folks in my department, which honestly has me worried. Has anyone heard anything concrete, or are we all just reading into the silence because of the current state of retail? I’m trying to decide if I need to start dusting off my resume or if I’m just letting the anxiety get the better of me. Any insight would be appreciated.

It is definitely not just you. The mood on the floor has been noticeably heavy lately, and the lack of transparency from leadership is making everyone jumpy. Those closed-door meetings are always a bad sign, especially when they follow rumors of budget tightening. It feels like we are all just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and the silence from the top is only making the speculation worse. I have stopped counting how many people I have seen clearing out their desks lately.

Honestly, the vibe at GO has been off for a while now. I think people are just tired of the constant 'do more with less' mentality that seems to permeate every project lately. When communication dries up, morale inevitably follows suit. It is exhausting to constantly feel like your job security is hanging by a thread while management acts like nothing is changing. I am just focusing on my own work and keeping my head down until things stabilize, if they ever do.
