Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else at Merck is feeling this weird vibe lately. I know there haven't been official announcements about layoffs, but the general atmosphere feels off. My team's been hearing a lot of 'project prioritization' and 'strategic realignment' talk, but it's translating into a bunch of projects getting put on indefinite hold or timelines being pushed back indefinitely. It's not just my department; I've heard similar whispers from colleagues in other areas too. Hiring has also slowed to a crawl, which isn't exactly a confidence booster. It's making it hard to plan and feel secure about where things are heading. Is this just a normal cycle, or is anyone else sensing something more significant might be brewing behind the scenes? Yeah, I'm feeling it too. It's like there's a general air of uncertainty hanging over everything. Definitely noticed the project delays. It’s more than just prioritization; it feels like a broader slowdown is happening across the board. Lots of discussions but little concrete movement.
