Merck layoffs? Anyone else feeling the unease?

Hey everyone. Been lurking for a bit, but things have been feeling a little shaky at Merck lately. Heard some whispers, seen a few people with that 'deer in headlights' look, but nothing concrete. Anyone else in R&D, sales, or manufacturing noticing anything? I'm in [Department Name, e.g., Process Development] and the project pipeline seems a bit... re-prioritized? I'm in manufacturing and can confirm there's definitely a weird vibe. We've had some 'restructuring' announcements that felt like corporate speak for 'things are changing,' and some familiar faces are suddenly gone. The usual chatter about upcoming projects has been noticeably quieter, too. I haven't heard any direct confirmations of layoffs, but I'm definitely picking up on the unease you're describing. In my area, there's been a slowdown in bringing on new hires for certain roles, and a few long-term contractors weren't renewed. Meetings do feel a bit more tense, and there's a lot of speculation going around. It's good to know I'm not the only one feeling this, even if it's unsettling.
