Morale seems low across R&D - anyone else feeling this?

Hey all, I'm in R&D at Merck and lately, the vibe has been... off. People seem a lot more stressed than usual, and there's a general air of uncertainty. I know there haven't been any official announcements, but the whispers about restructuring and efficiency drives are everywhere. Project timelines have definitely been a topic of conversation, and it feels like some initiatives are being re-evaluated or slowed down. Honestly, it's starting to get to me. I've been here a while and usually, things feel more stable. Seeing colleagues anxious and hearing hushed conversations about potential changes makes it hard to stay focused. Is anyone else in a similar boat, or am I just overthinking things? Curious to hear if others are noticing this too, especially in different departments. Maybe it's just a cyclical thing, but it feels more pronounced this time around.
