8000 gone... and still pouring billions into AI?

0x3ef5…7b77So, 8,000 people out the door. That's a massive chunk. And the justification? More investment in AI. It's hard to stomach that when you or your colleagues are suddenly out of a job. I get that companies need to evolve and invest in the future, but the timing and scale of these cuts while doubling down on what seems like the cause of the cuts feels… off. Are we supposed to believe this AI push is going to magically create more jobs later or is this just the new reality? Feels like we're being told to just accept that huge numbers of people are disposable for the sake of future tech that might not even pan out. Super cynical, I know, but tough not to feel that way right now.
