Anyone else feeling targeted by the recent cuts?

Just got the news. 8000 people gone, and it feels like it came out of nowhere. I've been here for 5 years, consistently hit my goals, never had any issues. Then BAM. Laid off. Reading some of the stuff online, and honestly, it’s making me paranoid. There are all these lawsuits and articles claiming the company used some kind of automated system to flag people, especially if they took leave or had medical issues. I mean, is that even legal? It feels incredibly dehumanizing if true. I always thought these decisions were made by managers who knew our work, but now I'm wondering if my performance review even mattered. It's a gut punch, not just losing the job, but the thought that my career was potentially decided by an algorithm. Anyone else in the same boat, feeling blindsided and maybe a bit… profiled?
