Anyone else got the WFH email right before the layoff notification?

Seriously, what was the thought process there? Got the notification to work from home on Thursday, and by Friday morning, the dreaded email landed. Felt like a deliberate move to make it even more impersonal. I was expecting it, given the rumors, but the WFH thing just added an extra layer of 'wow, this is cold.' My manager was already distant for weeks. Anyone else experience this specific sequence of events? Felt like they wanted us out of the office before pulling the trigger, or maybe it was just a coincidence? Just trying to make sense of the chaos.
