That's absolutely brutal. Being laid off is bad enough, but the WFH email right before? That's cold. It sounds like a really disorganized and frankly, dehumanizing way to handle such massive cuts. Makes you wonder about the internal communication and planning. Hope you're doing okay and have some support systems in place.
I can only imagine how shocking that must have been. Getting that remote work directive followed by layoff news would be incredibly disorienting.
