They told us to WFH... then emails started pinging at 4 AM?

Seriously, what was up with the whole 'work from home' directive right before the layoffs hit? Felt like they were herding us into individual rooms before delivering the bad news. Then the emails started dropping around 4 AM. FOUR AM. Who is making these decisions? It felt so impersonal and frankly, cowardly. Like they couldn't even face us. I'm still processing everything, trying to figure out what comes next. Has anyone else felt this intensely blindsided and frankly, disrespected by the process?

Absolutely felt this way too. The timing of the WFH push right before the layoffs was incredibly bizarre and frankly, felt manipulative. It created this weird sense of isolation when we were all clearly on edge. And those 4 AM emails? That's just a whole other level of tone-deafness. It felt like they wanted to sever ties as quickly and impersonally as possible, without any regard for the human impact. Still trying to wrap my head around it all.

The whole WFH phase before the layoffs was super strange. It did feel like they were setting us up for an announcement, but in the most isolating way possible. Then the staggered emails at all hours, especially those early morning ones, just added insult to injury. It made the whole process feel so detached and almost like they were trying to avoid any real interaction. Definitely felt blindsided and disrespected by the entire experience.
