WFH mandate, then 4 AM layoff emails? Classic Meta.

So, another round of layoffs, about 8,000 this time, and it seems like the same old playbook. I heard from a few people that they were told to work from home, probably to keep things quiet and contained, and then BAM - layoff notification emails started dropping at ungodly hours, like 4 AM. It's such a cowardly way to handle things. You strip people of their office space, their immediate support network, and then blindsight them with the news via email when they're probably still trying to figure out what's going on. It creates maximum anxiety and minimum disruption for management. It's not about efficiency; it's about control and avoiding confrontation. Just adds insult to injury after months of uncertainty and the constant pressure to 'do more with less.' Anyone else get that WFH directive right before getting the axe?
