MetLife - Any whispers of layoffs recently? Feeling uneasy.

Hey everyone, been working at MetLife for a few years now and lately there's been a weird vibe in the air. Not hearing any official announcements or anything concrete, but just the general chatter and some project reorganizations have me a bit on edge. Has anyone else picked up on anything? Any teams particularly affected or areas rumored to be under scrutiny? Trying to gauge the general sentiment out there. It's always stressful when you feel like things are uncertain, even if there's no confirmation. Just looking for some shared experiences or insights, if anyone has any. Trying not to panic, but also want to be prepared if something does happen.

I haven't heard any direct layoff rumors myself, but I definitely feel the unease you're talking about. Seems like there's been a lot of restructuring happening across different departments, and it's hard not to wonder what that means long-term. Project reassignments have been pretty frequent, and it does create a sense of uncertainty for many. Hopefully, it's just standard business adjustments, but it's understandable why people are feeling apprehensive right now.

Yeah, the 'weird vibe' is definitely palpable. While nothing concrete has been announced, the constant shuffling of projects and teams has everyone on edge. Some departments seem to be consolidating or undergoing significant changes, which naturally leads to speculation. It would be helpful if management could offer more transparency, even if it's just to address the underlying concerns people are feeling. Stay vigilant, but try not to let the anxiety overwhelm you.
