MetLife - Anyone else's workload suddenly skyrocket?

Is it just me, or has the workload in certain areas of MetLife gone through the roof recently? Feels like the same amount of people are being asked to do significantly more. Project timelines are getting tighter, and there's a definite push to 'optimize efficiencies,' which usually translates to more work for fewer people down the line. I know there haven't been any official layoff announcements, but this increased pressure and the general quietness around new projects makes me wonder if something's up. Is this a precursor to something bigger, or is it just the usual end-of-year crunch amplified? Anyone else experiencing this surge in tasks and feeling the strain? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide trend or specific to certain divisions.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. The pressure has definitely ramped up lately. It feels like we're expected to do more with less, and the 'optimize efficiencies' mantra is definitely getting old. I've been noticing tighter deadlines and a general sense of being stretched thin. It's creating a lot of stress, and I'm curious to see if this is a temporary surge or a new normal. Hoping things ease up soon.

You're not alone. The workload increase is palpable. My team is swamped, and the constant push for faster turnaround times is exhausting. While I appreciate the focus on efficiency, it feels like it's coming at the expense of our well-being. I'm wondering what the long-term strategy is behind this, especially with the lack of new initiatives being announced. It's a bit unsettling.
