Hey everyone, is anyone else noticing a weird vibe around MetLife lately? I'm not hearing any official layoff rumors, but there's definitely been a hush-hush atmosphere in a few departments. Seems like projects are being put on hold, travel budgets are tighter than usual, and there's a general sense of 'belt-tightening.' Could just be the usual end-of-year budget wrap-up or holiday slump, but it feels a bit different this time. Anyone else picking up on this? Maybe some departments are facing more scrutiny than others? Curious to hear if anyone has more direct insight, or if it's just my team overthinking things. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the quiet is a little unnerving.

I've been feeling that too, but I'd chalked it up to the holiday season. It's definitely quieter than I expected, and some of the usual internal comms about new initiatives seem to have dried up. Makes you wonder if they're just being conservative with spending before the new year or if there's something more substantial going on behind the scenes. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull.

Yeah, I've heard similar whispers. While I haven't seen any official announcements about layoffs, the shift in project pacing and the stricter expense approvals are noticeable.
