I'm in operations at one of the Strip properties and definitely feel the shift. We've seen some natural attrition lately, and hiring freezes seem to be the unofficial word, at least for non-essential roles. Budgets are definitely being scrutinized more than usual, and while nothing concrete has been said about layoffs, the general atmosphere is one of caution. It's hard to shake the feeling that cost-saving measures are being prioritized.
Corporate here too, and yeah, the quiet is loud. Projects that were greenlit a few months ago are now in limbo, and there's a noticeable hesitation to commit to anything new without multiple layers of approval. It's not just whispers anymore; there's a palpable sense that we're in a holding pattern. Management seems to be managing expectations very carefully, which usually means something is brewing on the horizon.
